I am an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU). Before joining SKKU, I was an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics at Inha University.

I was a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Notre Dame, working with Prof. Lizhen Lin. I received my Ph.D. degree in Statistics at Seoul National University, under the guidance of Prof. Jaeyong Lee. I obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University.

My research interests broadly lie in the theory, methodology and application of Bayesian statistics. I have worked on high-dimensional mean and covariance estimations, semi-parametric Bayesian models, differential equation models and sequential Monte Carlo methods. I am currently interested in developing scalable Bayesian methods for large-scale datasets and deriving their theoretical properties.
