Lee group at Iowa State University studies fundamental sciences and the applications of metastable materials using containerless processing. The topics of our research include nucleation and crystallization, transport phenomena, thermophysical/thermomechanical properties, drop dynamics of various materials.

Our research has been funded by National Science Foundation, NASA, The U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Iowa Department of Transportation, and Boston Metal.
