This page will be updated with the most current information as we are made aware of it. Please check back with this page regularly, as directives can change day-to-day.
We’ve received direction from Alberta Health Services regarding safety measures to take to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and we’d like to share that information with you. As you know, direction is constantly evolving as circumstances change, so we have added this COVID-19 information page to our website where we will continue to post updated information.
The direction we’ve received from AHS which we will implement is as follows:
All RV campers must use their own washroom facilities if they are able to.
Campground washroom facilities will only be made available to those who do not have their own washroom capabilities, and those who only have power/water on site. Only our north washrooms closest to the office are open. IE. tent campers/tent trailer campers.
Showers will remain closed until further notice.
Laundry facilities must be restricted to a single user at a time and high touch surfaces must be disinfected between uses. Users should avoid shaking of dirty laundry prior to washing.
To better implement this, our laundry facilities will only be available for guests camping for longer than 7 days.
Water fill stations must be controlled by the operator practicing proper precautions.
We will be monitoring the use of the dump and water-fill station, and sanitizing all touch-surfaces between guests’ use.
There will also be set hours during which the dump station will be available to use.
Group camping is prohibited.
The Reunion Center is reservable. All guests must strictly follow current group gathering guidelines.
Social gatherings such as group bonfires, potlucks, etc. over 15 people are discouraged.
All group gatherings should observe proper social distancing measures by staying at least 2 meters (6 feet) from members of another household, and not sharing food or drinks.
We will be patrolling the campground to ensure that guests are not congregating over 15 people at other campsites.
Visitors who are not guests at the campground are discouraged.
Provide info to campers about social distancing during check-in times.
Post signage with rules and COVID-19 precautions.
Residents who are required to self-isolate due to international travel, contacts or symptoms must stay in their RV or on their own campsite/pad. They may not enter any shared facility buildings that may be open.
Increased cleaning and disinfecting with a focus on high touch surfaces as recommended and instructed by AHS. This will include
Spraying picnic tables and service hookup posts with disinfectant between uses.
Spraying dump station with disinfectant between uses.
Spraying garbage disposal with disinfectant regularly.
Sanitizing washroom facilities twice/day.
We also feel that a key way to prevent any possible spread of the virus will be to close our office and offer only contactless check-in. We will send you an email at least 24 hours before your scheduled check-in with general information for your stay with us. You will need to call or email us to let us know how you plan to pay—either by sending an e-transfer, or by providing us with your credit card information, if you have not already. If we have not received an e-transfer before your scheduled check in date we will charge your credit card. At this time we are not accepting cash payments. We can email you a receipt if needed.
We hope that these restrictions can be lifted soon so that we can welcome you in person to our campground, but we look forward to providing you with a safe way to enjoy an escape to nature until then. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions, and please refer regularly to our website for further information.
