Thank you for your interest in the doctoral program in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Below you will find the information required to apply for the Fall 2026 admission cycle.
Application Deadlines
Priority Deadline: February 15, 2026
We will continue to accept and evaluate applications on a rolling basis after the priority deadline.

Required Application Materials A complete application must include the following documents:
Statement of Purpose
Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended
Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Three letters of recommendation
Minimum Qualifications for Applicants
Academic Record: A minimum grade average of B (e.g., 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, 60/100, or 13/20).
English Language Proficiency: Applicants from countries where English is not the primary language must submit TOEFL scores.
Minimum Score (Paper-Based): 533
Minimum Score (Internet-Based): 73
GRE Requirement The GRE requirement is suspended for the Fall 2026 application cycle. Please do not send GRE scores, as they will not be considered in the application review process.
Financial Support All students admitted to our Ph.D. program will be offered full financial support, which includes a stipend and tuition waiver, through a Research Assistantship and/or a Teaching Assistantship.
