Oldenburg is known for super-sizing everyday things. So, how do I test flashlights? First, I use them in controlled environments, measuring both runtime and brightness compared to claimed numbers. I put them on a scale to check the weights. I submerse them in water and drop them onto concrete.

Performe a soft reset. Press and hold the light button until the device shut down. After that press the light button to enable the device. The soft reset does not kill any data/settings. Perhaps it help to get your flashlight back to life. Give it a try.

I had the same issue, I did the soft reset that some people mentioned in this thread and it worked. Just hold the flashlight button and then power off, then use the same button to turn on after a moment. Now my flashlight works fine.
