Web 2.0 and Formative Assessments

In Module 5 you learned about effective ways to utilize Web 2.0 tools to immerse students in project-based learning, whether students are fully online or in a blended environment. These projects need to be designed to assess student progress and success, and to determine if more instruction is needed. It is easier to use these tools in an online or blended environment. It is an excellent overview of Web 2.0 tools that are well suited to formative assessment in the online or blended classroom.

Review the sites above and the Edutopia article and locate one formative assessment tool you can use within the next 6-months in your online or blended class. Remember to think about how this tool can be used to assist you and the student in identifying strengths and weaknesses.
