Learnovo is a school management application. Schools license Learnovo to manage academics, attendance, examinations, fees and school communication. This policy explains what personal data the Learnovo mobile app handles, why, and what rights you have.
Learnovo operates on a two-tier model, and it matters for your rights:
Your school is the Data Fiduciary (controller). Your school decides what student, parent and staff records are entered into Learnovo, who may see them, and how long they are kept. Your school obtains the consent required to process this data, including parental consent for students under 18.
EvoTech Innovation is the Data Processor. EvoTech Innovation is the trading name of Aman Vhanesa, a sole proprietor established in Pune, Maharashtra, India, who is the legal person accountable for the processing described here. We provide the software and hosting, and we process data only on your school's documented instructions. We do not decide the purposes of processing, and we do not use school data for our own commercial purposes.
If you want a record corrected, exported or erased, contact your school first — they control the record. We will assist your school with any such request.

No advertising, and no advertising identifiers. Learnovo contains no ads and no third-party ad SDKs.
No selling or sharing of personal data. We do not sell data or share it with data brokers, ever.
No behavioural tracking or profiling of any user, and specifically none of children — consistent with section 9(3) of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
No precise location. The app does not request or collect GPS location.
No biometric data leaves your device. See section 4.
Every permission is requested only at the moment the relevant feature is used, and each may be declined — declining only disables that one feature.

Files the app downloads — receipts, report cards, exported reports — are written to the app's own private cache directory and are removed when you clear the app's storage or uninstall it. Learnovo does not read your device's general file storage or media library beyond the specific item you pick.
If you enable biometric unlock, your fingerprint or face data is never read by, transmitted to, or stored by Learnovo. The app asks the operating system "is this the device owner?" and receives only a yes or no. Your biometric templates remain in your device's secure hardware at all times.
All traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
Authentication tokens and your school code are stored using the device's hardware-backed secure storage (iOS Keychain, Android Keystore) — not in ordinary app storage.
Passwords are stored only as salted hashes and are never recoverable in plain text, by us or by your school.
Each school's data is logically isolated from every other school's data.
Access is restricted by role: a parent sees only their own child's records; a teacher sees only their assigned classes.
Screens containing sensitive records are protected against screenshots and screen recording where the operating system supports it.
No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the affected school and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDP Act, 2023.
School fee payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs and net-banking credentials are entered inside Razorpay's own secure interface. Learnovo never sees, receives or stores your payment credentials. We retain only the transaction reference, amount, timestamp and status, so your school can reconcile the payment and issue a receipt. Razorpay's handling of your payment data is governed by its own privacy policy at razorpay.com/privacy.
We share data only with providers strictly necessary to run the service, each bound by contract to process it only on our instructions:
Razorpay — payment processing (see above).
Expo push notification service — delivers notifications via Apple and Google's push networks. Receives the device push token and the notification content.
Our cloud hosting provider — stores the application database and files.
We may also disclose data where legally compelled by a valid order from a court or competent authority.
Learnovo is used by schools to keep records about students, many of whom are children. Learnovo is not directed to children for independent sign-up — a child cannot create an account. Accounts are issued only by the school. Consent for processing a child's data is obtained by the school from a parent or lawful guardian.
We do not serve advertising to children, do not track or profile children, and do not use children's data for any purpose beyond delivering the school's own services. Our detailed commitments appear in the Child Safety Policy.
We retain data for as long as your school's licence is active and its retention rules require, since schools are typically obliged to keep academic and financial records for statutory periods. When a school terminates its licence, its data is deleted or returned within 90 days, except where law requires longer retention. Individual account deletion is described in the Account & Data Deletion Policy.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access a summary of your personal data, to have it corrected or completed, to have it erased, to nominate another person to exercise your rights, and to raise a grievance. Because your school controls your record, please direct requests to your school; where you contact us directly we will route your request to the school and support them in answering it.
Learnovo data is stored on servers located in India. Where a service provider processes data outside India, we do so only in countries not restricted by the Government of India and under appropriate contractual safeguards.
If we make a material change we will update the effective date above and notify schools in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

We acknowledge grievances within 72 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
