In this subject, we will be talking about Humanoid and Non-Humanoid Robots and what robots are used for.
We can differentiate AI into two main categories, Humanoid Robots and Non-Humanoid-Robots. Humanoid Robots are machines that look like humans. They are used to carry out daily tasks that humans do. A good example of one is the infamous Sophie Robot. It can replicate human expressions, interact with people and have conversations too. It can also analyze visual data and recognize human faces. It helps in advocacies, helps scientists in research for the future and helps for mentally unstable patients or just sick people in hospitals as a emotional support robot. But for Non-Humanoid Robots, they do not look like humans at all. But they are used to carry out daily tasks such as cleaning, dusting etc. An example of one is the Roomba. A household cleaning device that sucks in dust particles on the floor and cleans them. But Robots can also be used to do repetitive tasks such as factory jobs, dangerous jobs such as scouting radioactive places and also educating or helping humans.
