STUDENT VISITS

Students are welcome to visit the library (to read, study, meditate, or use desktops in the drop-in lab) during class time with permission from their teachers.

In order to retain daily library privileges, students are to be respectful, in uniform and to refrain from eating for the duration of their visit

Students who are signed out of school are expected to be off school property and not in the library or anywhere else on school premises.

Students are required to show their student ID card when borrowing books, calculators, chargers, or Chromebooks.

Teachers are asked to use their judgement when sending students to the library, bearing in mind that library staff cannot closely monitor student activity or whereabouts.  Teachers have the option of using a Library Pass, calling the library, and sending the student to the library as they would the washroom. Teachers are requested to send no more than four students at a time and to refrain from sending students to the library during period 3 if possible. Covering teachers are requested to send students to the library for short visits of 5-10 minutes only.
