The Plan
Tool
Amplify Classroom and Google Classroom
My primary central gathering space for our class community will be Google Classroom, which will function as our shared “home base” for announcements, daily agendas, assignments, links, and class communication. The Stream page will act like a communal bulletin board where students can post questions, celebrate each other, and interact with class updates.
Google Classroom:
How I will drive traffic:
Daily warm-ups posted in Google Classroom
Parents/guardians will be invited and encouraged to enable Guardian Summaries so they know how to stay connected.
Ongoing use of the Stream for reminders, polls, and celebrations so students know they need to check it regularly.
Students, families, and I will return often because this is:
Where assignments live
Where updates appear first
Where celebrations are shared
Where students can ask and answer questions
To help students express who they are and learn who their classmates are, we will use Google Slides to create short presentation introductions.
Slide introduction prompt requirements:
Your name
A hobby or interest outside of school
One thing that helps you learn best in math class
One cultural or family tradition that is meaningful to you
A math-related identity question:
Do you see yourself as a math person? Why or why not?
Communication
