INFRASTRUCTURE and NETWORKING
DIY/Innovative Solutions
An interactive plan for connecting students in areas without reliable fixed wired, fixed wireless, or cellular wireless coverage that uses point-to-point wireless links supported by school buses and supplied from the school's existing internet connection. If the goal is a temporary deployment or an end-to-end district-controlled solution without becoming an ISP this is a good plan to look at!
An ongoing project to develop DIY mesh networks for communities with little or no internet infrastructure. If the aim is to truly "crowdsource" a network this is a place to start!
Commercial Solutions
Kajeet provides schools and districts with connectivity solutions that make ed tech more accessible & simpler to manage. If cellular access is strong in your area this is almost a "fire and forget" solution!
