Beginning Band
The League City Beginning Band is made up of our 1st year band students. Our beginner band is taught in like-instrument classes where students will learn all the basic fundamentals needed to play an instrument. We rehearse together prior to our Winter Concert, Spring Concert, & Gator Music Festival competition.
At the end of the Beginner Band Year students will be able to perform songs, scales, & more independently. You'll be pretty amazed at their growth & sounds!
Beginning band students are expected to:
Be positive, patient with their learning & growth, take initiative, & be open to learning new things!
Maintain passing grades in all of their classes.
Be a model students on the campus.
Consistently practice their instrument.
Attend all rehearsals and performances with the band.
Instruments offered in beginning band include: flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, alto saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, and percussion. For more information on joining band click here.
