Note for the developer (delete before publishing): This is a thorough, app-accurate template, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review it for your jurisdiction, confirm it matches your final App Store privacy "nutrition label," and fill in every [bracketed] item.
This Privacy Policy explains how Walabok LLC ("Walabok," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the LeafVault mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

LeafVault is offline-first and privacy-respecting by design:
Your plant collection — entries, photos, notes, prices, valuations, logs, reminders — is stored on your device and, if you are signed into iCloud, in your own private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. We do not operate servers that receive or store this content, and we cannot see it.
We do not require an account and do not ask for your name, email, or password to use the App.
We do not sell your personal information.
The main data collection is by third parties that power specific features: Apple (sync and purchases), Google AdMob (ads in the free version), and Open‑Meteo (weather), each described below.
Plant names, cultivars, photos, notes, acquisition details, prices and estimated values, growth and propagation logs, care reminders, wishlist items, and custom fields. This data lives on your device and, when iCloud is enabled, syncs through your private iCloud database. Walabok has no access to it. Apple processes iCloud data under Apple's privacy policy.
If you add photos, the App accesses your camera and/or photo library with your permission. Selected images are stored with your plant data (device + your iCloud). They are not sent to Walabok.
If you turn on weather‑adaptive care, the App requests your approximate location once and sends the coordinates to Open‑Meteo to retrieve local weather used to tune care reminders. We do not store your location on our own servers, and the feature is off by default. See Open‑Meteo's privacy terms: https://open-meteo.com/en/terms.
Purchases of "LeafVault Pro" are processed by Apple. We receive from Apple your transaction and subscription status(e.g., active/expired) so the App can unlock features — not your name, card number, or other payment details. Billing is governed by Apple.
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. Depending on your choices, AdMob and its partners may access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and related data (e.g., device type, IP‑derived coarse location, ad interactions) to deliver and measure ads, including personalized ads.
On iOS, personalized ads that use the IDFA require your consent through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, you will still see ads, but non‑personalized ones.
You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and you can remove ads entirely by upgrading to LeafVault Pro.
Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's policies: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543.
Reference photos in the Encyclopedia may be loaded from Wikimedia/Wikipedia. When an image is fetched, those services receive a standard web request (including your IP address) under their own policies. Cached copies are stored on your device.
Walabok does not embed a separate third‑party analytics SDK. Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized App Analytics and crash reports if you have enabled sharing with developers in iOS settings. Google AdMob collects data as described above.
We and our providers use the limited data above to: operate core features (collection, sync, reminders, weather‑aware care); process and validate purchases and restore them; display and measure ads in the free version; maintain security and prevent fraud/abuse; diagnose crashes and improve the App; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your plant content for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
Where the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the App and purchases); consent (camera, photo library, location, and personalized advertising/tracking, which you may withdraw); legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, basic functionality, and non‑personalized advertising); and legal obligation where applicable.
We share data only as described here: with service providers that power features (Apple, Google AdMob, Open‑Meteo, Wikimedia) acting on their own and/or our behalf; to comply with law or valid legal process; to protect rights, safety, and security; and in connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or asset sale), subject to this Policy. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross‑context behavioral advertising except as you permit through the ATT consent described above.
Permissions: You can grant or revoke camera, photos, location, tracking, and notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
Delete your data: Use Settings → Delete All Data in the App to erase your collection from the device (and your iCloud, where synced). Deleting the App also removes on‑device data; manage iCloud copies in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
Ads: Decline tracking via ATT, or upgrade to Pro to remove ads.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent (GDPR/UK GDPR). California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of "sale"/"sharing" — we do not sell personal information, and we honor opt‑out preference signals where required. Because we hold little or no personal data tied to you directly, most content requests are best fulfilled by you in‑App or through Apple/Google for data they hold. To make a request or ask a question, email walabokllc@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and you may appeal a decision by replying to our response. EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority.
LeafVault is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country, e.g., 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at walabokllc@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.
Content you create persists on your device and in your iCloud until you delete it (in‑App, by deleting the App, or via iCloud settings). Cached encyclopedia images remain on your device until cleared by the system or by deleting the App. Apple and Google retain the data they process under their own retention policies.
We rely on Apple platform protections, including device‑level encryption and the security of your private iCloud account, and we limit the data we and our providers collect. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and Apple ID with a passcode and strong authentication.
Our providers (Apple, Google, Open‑Meteo, Wikimedia) may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (for example, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) implemented by those providers.
The App relies on third‑party services with their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review:

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
