COMMON QUESTIONS
----------------------------------------
Q: The identification is wrong. What can I do?
A: AI plant identification is not 100% accurate. Try again with a clearer, well-lit photo showing distinctive features (a single leaf, the flower, the whole plant). Avoid blurry, dark, or cluttered backgrounds. Never use the result to decide whether a plant is safe to eat, touch, or feed to animals or children. Consult a qualified expert (botanist, doctor, veterinarian, poison control).
Q: The app won't open the camera or photo library.
A: iOS: Settings → Leaflens → enable Camera and Photos.
Android: Settings → Apps → Leaflens → Permissions → enable Camera and Photos/Media.
Restart the app after granting permission.
Q: The scan fails or times out.
A: Check your internet connection. Plant identification requires an active connection because the AI runs on a remote server. Try again after a few seconds, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or restart the app.
Q: Does Leaflens require an account?
A: No. Leaflens does not require sign-in. Your scans, notes, and settings live only on your device.
Q: Does Leaflens cost money?
A: No. Leaflens is currently free. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Q: Does Leaflens work offline?
A: The local history (past scans, notes, settings) is available offline, but identifying a new plant requires an internet connection.
Q: What data does Leaflens send to the server?
A: Only the photo you submit for identification, and minimal request metadata. The photo is processed by Google's Gemini API solely to return the identification result. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, or advertising identifiers. Full details: https://sites.google.com/view/leaflens-policy
Q: How do I delete my data?
A: Settings → Erase all scan data. Or uninstall the app. Both remove everything from your device.
Q: What devices does Leaflens support?
A: iOS 13 or later. Android 8.0 or later. A working rear camera is recommended.

TROUBLESHOOTING
----------------------------------------
- App crashes on launch: update to the latest version from the App Store / Play Store, then restart your device.
- Camera preview is black: close other apps using the camera, restart Leaflens, and verify camera permission is granted.
- Photo picker shows nothing: verify photo library permission, then restart the app.
- Identification returns "something went wrong": check connection and try again. If it persists, restart the app.
