"It is what it is, but it becomes what you make it" was our inspiration for the year, and had I known how poignant that would be, I might have chosen something else! We focused on challenging ourselves to create work we are proud of and show the benefits of engaging and persisting through those challenges. As artists and humans, we often cannot control what is thrown our way, but we can control how we react to and grow through those problems. The work from this group of artists represents a whole lot of artistic and personal growth.

For LC Arts Week 2020, the drama department created a compilation of past shows, in-class performances, solos, and clips of students explaining the importance of drama in their lives
This year, our choruses really stepped up to the plate and sang ensemble songs as well as created music of their own! As we know, collaboration becomes a lot more challenging when working remotely, but Ms. May worked tirelessly to blend each performance.
With our band members responsibly quarantining in their own homes, an ensemble performance is much more difficult. Instead, we had students volunteer to perform solos this year, which gave us the rare chance to highlight individuals!
