The Laboratory for Conjugated Organic Materials conducts research on organic semiconductors, which are carbon-based materials that can conduct electricity. The lab employs a range of experimental techniques such as thin film deposition, device fabrication, and spectroscopy to explore the electrical and optical properties of these materials and their behavior at the nanoscale. The lab is interested in understanding how the composition and structure of organic semiconductors affect their properties, and how to optimize their performance for various applications such as OLEDs, OLETs, OFETs, and OPVs.
