If you want a comfortable, all-in-one sleep mask and headband that lets you lie on your side without pain while listening to audiobooks on a long flight, choose LC-dolida Sleep Headphones; if you need powerful active noise cancellation, deep bass, and a portable charging case that doubles as a phone stand for movies, choose Anker Soundcore P30i. These two devices serve completely different masters, and picking the wrong one will leave you either uncomfortable during rest or annoyed by cabin noise during travel.
• LC-dolida Sleep Headphones: Its biggest strength is the 3-in-1 design that acts as a sleeping mask, sport headband, and Bluetooth speaker in one thin profile, but its trade-off is the lack of active noise cancellation and standard earbud audio fidelity.
• Anker Soundcore P30i: Its biggest strength is the robust 42dB active noise cancellation and 45-hour total battery life with a versatile case, but its trade-off is the rigid in-ear fit that can become painful for side sleepers.
• The LC-dolida pick is for anyone who needs to block out light and wear headphones while lying down flat or on their side.
• The Anker Soundcore P30i pick is for commuters, travelers, and listeners who prioritize immersive sound quality and blocking out engine drone over comfort during sleep.
The LC-dolida Sleep Headphones are engineered for a very specific lifestyle: the person who needs to sleep, meditate, or exercise without the pressure of traditional earbuds digging into their ear canal. This device solves the most common complaint about wireless sleep gear—the "squish" factor. By integrating the drivers directly into a soft, elastic headband made of breathable, sweat-wicking material, it allows you to lie on your side without crushing the hardware against your pillow. The design explicitly targets side sleepers who usually have to abandon their music or white noise machines because the earbuds hurt after an hour.
What makes this unit particularly compelling for air travel is its versatility as a sleep mask. The fabric covers your eyes, effectively blocking out the harsh overhead lights of an airplane cabin or a bright hotel room, which helps signal your brain that it is time to rest. You get high-fidelity stereo sound through ultra-thin 0.25-inch speakers that sit comfortably against your ears rather than inside them. With Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, the connection remains stable across the 15-meter range, ensuring you won't lose your audio stream when moving around the galley or walking to the lavatory.

This product is ideal for the traveler who wants a single piece of gear to handle meditation, yoga, insomnia relief, and long-haul flights. If you are someone who gets frustrated by tangled wires or the constant fear of losing small earbuds in a blanket, the braided cables and secure headband fit offer peace of mind. However, you should skip this option if you require active noise cancellation to drown out jet engines or if you prefer the isolated, in-ear sensation that provides better bass response for music production or gaming. The LC-dolida is a comfort-first device, not a performance-first audio tool.
The Anker Soundcore P30i represents the opposite end of the spectrum, focusing entirely on delivering a premium, immersive audio experience in a compact, portable package. These earbuds are built for the listener who demands power and clarity, utilizing 10mm dynamic drivers amplified by BassUp technology to deliver deep, punchy bass that fills the room. Unlike the LC-dolida, these are true in-ear monitors designed to seal the ear canal, which is essential for their primary feature: Strong and Smart Noise Cancelling. With the ability to reduce external noise by up to 42dB, they are capable of creating a quiet sanctuary even in the loudest environments.
For frequent flyers, the active noise cancellation is a game-changer. When paired with Transparency Mode, you can instantly switch between blocking out the roar of a jet turbine and hearing announcements from the cockpit without removing the earbuds. The 4-microphone AI enhanced call system ensures that your voice comes through clearly even when the background noise is chaotic, making these excellent for work calls during layovers. The battery life is equally impressive, offering up to 10 hours on a single charge and a massive 45 hours total with the case, meaning you rarely need to hunt for a power outlet during a multi-day trip.
The standout feature here is the innovative 2-in-1 charging case that transforms into a phone stand. This design element specifically addresses the modern traveler's need for hands-free viewing. You can place your phone on the back of the case, prop it up, and watch movies or TV shows while keeping your earbuds nearby. This makes the Anker Soundcore P30i the superior choice for those who view their journey as entertainment time rather than just transit time. However, if you plan to sleep on the plane, the in-ear design may become uncomfortable after a few hours, and the lack of a light-blocking mask means you will still need an eye cover to rest properly.
• Best for side sleeping and light blocking → LC-dolida Sleep Headphones (the soft headband prevents ear pain and blocks cabin lights).
• Best for noise isolation on planes → Anker Soundcore P30i (42dB active noise cancellation crushes engine drone where the LC-dolida cannot).
• Best for battery longevity → Anker Soundcore P30i (45 hours total playtime vs. 15 hours continuous use on the LC-dolida).
• Best for hands-free movie watching → Anker Soundcore P30i (the case doubles as a phone stand for in-flight entertainment).
• Best for sports and sweat resistance → LC-dolida Sleep Headphones (sweat-wicking material and secure headband fit keep hair and sweat out of your eyes).
• Best for call clarity in noisy areas → Anker Soundcore P30i (4 microphones with AI processing outperform the LC-dolida's basic microphone setup).
• Best value for daily commuting → Anker Soundcore P30i (versatile ANC and transparency modes suit diverse city environments).
• Best for relaxation and meditation → LC-dolida Sleep Headphones (the combination of darkness and soft sound creates a better sleep environment).
I would buy the Anker Soundcore P30i for my own next international flight, primarily because I need to watch movies and block out the constant hum of the aircraft. While the LC-dolida is undeniably clever for sleeping, the active noise cancellation and battery capacity of the Anker make it the more practical tool for general travel. The 2-in-1 case stand is a brilliant addition that turns a boring flight into a personal cinema experience. If your goal is to stay awake, entertained, and focused, the Anker is the clear winner for the best foldable gaming headset for airplane use, though technically these are earbuds. However, if your only goal is to drift off to sleep immediately upon boarding, the LC-dolida remains the undisputed champion for comfort.
While the Anker Soundcore P30i offers Hi-Fi stereo sound via its 10mm drivers and BassUp technology, the term "best" depends on your priority; for pure noise cancellation and battery life on a plane, they are top-tier, but they are not designed for sleep like the LC-dolida.
Yes, the Anker Soundcore P30i features a unique 2-in-1 charging case that functions as a phone stand, allowing you to watch content hands-free during your flight, whereas the LC-dolida does not have this accessory.
The Anker Soundcore P30i is superior for this purpose, offering Hybrid Noise Cancellation that reduces noise by up to 42dB, compared to the LC-dolida Sleep Headphones which rely solely on passive isolation from the headband material.
Yes, the LC-dolida Sleep Headphones are designed with disassemblable components and sweat-wicking materials, making them convenient to keep clean after intense workouts or long flights, unlike the electronic-only Anker earbuds.
