Denise Ludlow-Saxon had a busy four years at Long Branch High School. She spent two years as a member of the Marching and Concert Bands and played two years of Junior Varsity softball. However, it was her four years as a member of the Varsity Girls Bowling Team which brought her acclaim while in high school. Among the honors she received included being voted captain of the 1983 Girls Bowling Team and, that same year, earning membership on the All-Shore Girls Bowling Team.

During her four years on the team, she received four varsity letters and was a member of the 1982 Girls Bowling Team which won the Central Division of the Shore Conference. In 1983, as captain of the team, she led her team mates to first place in the Shore Conference Tournament, second place in the Central Division State Sectionals, and first place in the New Jersey State Championship.

From Long Branch High School, Ms. Ludlow-Saxon went to Douglas College. Although they did not have a bowling team, she continued to bowl and continues her involvement in this sport to this day. She bowls each week and participates in national, state and county tournaments yearly as a member of the Women's International Bowling Congress and the National 600 Bowling Club.
