In his sophomore year at Long Branch High School Terrance King lettered in varsity football they also split his time and played junior varsity and varsity baseball. During outdoor track season, he was on the first team All Shore 4 x 400, First Team all Monmouth County 4 x 400, First Team group 2 4 x 400, 2nd team All-State Star-Ledger 4 x 400. He won the Monmouth County Shore conference and Central Jersey group 2 races in the 4 x 400 relay. Terrence was the third-place finisher in the 4 x 400 at the Meet of Champions. He broke a 25 year old school record in the 4 x 400 at the meet of Champions with a time of 3 minutes and 19 seconds. Terrence was also a member of the Central Jersey group 2 state championship team.

It is junior year he received his second Varsity letter in football and a letter in varsity basketball. When Terrence was a senior he received a third-year varsity letter in football. He was first team All Shore, First Team all Monmouth County, and 13 Star-Ledger All State. He was second in scoring points in the shore conference. Terrence was among the top six scores New Jersey with 138 points. He held the school record for most touchdowns in a single season 23. He led the team to attend to one record winning the B North Division. They lost in the state finals, finishing second and the Asbury Park Press and 10th and the Gannett newspapers. Terrence played in the All Shore football classic game with the biggest margin of victory in game history.

During the varsity basketball season in his senior year Terrance received his second letter. He led the team to the shore Conference Championship, the first 15th seed ever to make the finals in the shore conference history.

His senior year and outdoor track was just as successful as his previous years. He was on the first team All Shore 400m, First Team all Monmouth County 400 meters, 2nd Team all group 3 400 m. He won the Monmouth County, Shore conference and Central Jersey group 3 400 races. Terrence broke the school record in the 400 with the time of 47.6 and was the fifth place finisher in the meet of Champions in the 400m. Currently Mr. King is a paraprofessional at Anastasia school and coaches indoor and outdoor track as well as football.
