Ray Hamlin played point guard for the varsity basketball team during his junior and senior years where he was a leading scorer and assist player. Ray received various honors as a senior including being voted team captain. He was one of the most talented players at the Jersey Shore in 1982. He was voted 1st team in the 1982 Holiday Jubilee Tournament, First Team B-North, 1st Team All Monmouth, 2nd Team Guard All Shore, and 3rd Team Guard All-State (group III). Ray received a full athletic scholarship for men's basketball at East Stroudsburg University where he was the captain and leading scorer on the team. He entered Rutgers Law School in 1987 and graduated in 1990.
While attending Rutgers Law School, Mr. Hamlin became an associate at the law firm of Ashley & Charles, Newark, New Jersey. He also became assistant counsel for the Orange Board of Education from 1991 to June 1995. He is a founding partner at the Law Firm of Hunt, Hamlin & Ridley. His main areas of practice include education, criminal, civil rights, labor and other areas of litigation. He is an outstanding lawyer and his ability to work in a variety of fields has enabled him to develop an extensive client base for the firm.
