Jason MacArthur Corley was a two-sport athlete, football and basketball at the Long Branch High School. Although Jason was a good basketball player and was second on his team in scoring, he was more recognized for his talent as a football player. During his freshman year the varsity coaching staff took notice of Jason when the team went undefeated and Jason dominated in the most important game which was against Ocean Township High School; another freshman team with no losses. Three years later they met again but this time for the group 3 state championship final in which Ocean Township was on the winning end.

Jason was a three-year two-way Varsity starter as a linebacker and running back for the Long Branch Green Wave. As a linebacker Jason tallied up 294 tackled 18 sacks 3 interceptions and one touchdown on the defensive side of the ball. During his high school career as a running back, he ran a total of 1550 yards and amassed a total of 16 career touchdowns. During his tenure as a Long Branch High School football player, Jason was recognized locally and statewide. He was named captain by the coaching staff and his teammates and became the only two-year team captain.

Jason's many awards and honors include a three-year Hitman Award winner the leadership and dedication award as a senior 10 - 1 record for B North Champs Monmouth County, 2-year all Monmouth County team selection, 2 Year All Shore selection, and all Shore Defensive MVP Award winner. At the state level Jason was selected one of the 80 best high school football players in the state of New Jersey as an All-State selection as linebacker. Currently Mr. Corley is Athletic Director for the Long Branch School District.
