Shauna Brocklebank Adams

Shauna Brocklebank Adams was a proud graduate of the Long Branch High School Class of 2003. While at Long Branch, Shauna was a member of the William E. Cate Chapter of the National Honor Society, and an integral part of both the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Teams in the school’s athletic department.

After graduating from Long Branch High School, Shauna attended Montclair State University where she achieved a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutritional Science. During her time at Montclair State, Shauna had a prolific career as a member of their lacrosse team. She racked up numerous accolades as a member of this program which include:

• 1 of 5 players in program history to score over 200 points for her career
• Appearing in 65 games in her career, Shauna compiled 163 goals, 50 assists, 117 ground balls, 109 draws, and 43 caused turnovers.
• Shauna finished her career fourth all time in scoring, third and goals and assists, second in draws, and fourth in ground balls.
• During her time as a member of the team, Montclair State went 51-16 over the course of 4 seasons, qualified for the postseason 3 times, and in 2007 made the NCAA for the first time in school history.
• Shauna was named 2006 Skyline Conference Player of the Year.

After graduating from Montclair State, Shauna enlisted in the United States Army. Shauna earned the rank of Sergeant during her time in the military. On March 28th, 2012, Shauna tragically passed away while proudly serving her country overseas in, Korea. She will be remembered for her contributions as an athlete, as someone who proudly served her country, and, now, as a member of the Long Branch High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
