Dr. Andrew L. Smith Sr., Pastor
Little Bethany Missionary Baptist Church
Dr. Smith was born and raised in San Francisco Ca. where he was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and baptized at the age of five.
In 1974 he joined the Little Bethany Missionary Baptist Church upon organization under the leadership of his late father in-law and pastor Reverend John Phillips. Dr. Smith was ordained as deacon and served as Sunday school superintendent for nineteen years. Dr. Smith is married to his Patricia Smith of fifty-two years and they have two children.
2001 he received certificate of ordination as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to teach the word, preach the gospel and administer all the sacraments, ordinances and other functions of the church as pastor of the Little Bethany Missionary Baptist Church.
Dr. Smith attended the Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College and earned the degrees of Associate of Biblical Studies, Bachelor of Theology, Master of Theology/Christian Counseling.
In addition to serving as Pastor of Little Bethany Baptist church, Dr. Smith is the Vice President of Pnuema Theological Seminary and Bible College Emeryville Extension where he earned the degree of Doctor of Religious Education.
