A little about Ms. Lawson, I was born in Fairbanks, Alaska into a military family and slowly made my way to Texas after a few years in Montana and Washington. Primarily, I grew up in San Antonio, Texas where I attended both elementary and middle school. I then moved to Friendswood, Texas where I completed high school.
I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-6 and English as a Second Language.
I have enjoyed backpacking in Colorado and Alaska, traveling to different countries in Europe, North and South America, worked as a counselor at a youth camp in Texas, served on a mission trip in Costa Rica, and currently coach at a local volleyball club.
This will be my seventh year teaching, second year teaching fourth grade, and second year at Hood-Case Elementary. I am a big believer in positivity and having a growth mindset. Your child is capable of doing incredible things this year!
I am very excited about what is in store for your child this year, and I look forward to working with you as well.
In OUR class, we will...
1. Be our BEST self!
2. Follow the classroom norms/Social Contract.
3. Follow the school expectations.
