Buddy our elf is creating a lot of talk in our classroom!

It's beginning to look a lot like the holidays!

Last Math Superstars paper is due Monday, December 11th

We filled up our first compliment chart. Our treat was a yummy popsickle.

New daily homework for second quarter! This paper is going home on Monday. Please place in the back of the binder sleeve.

No more tic tac toe!

Reading comprehension & math Monday- Thursday.

*Make sure students write in complete sentences*

Use the ideas you got on the tic tac toe sheets to practice your weekly spelling words and high frequency words. =0)

Math Superstars has begun. Download your worksheet weekly and turn in by the Monday due date.

Great practice, prizes at the end!

Thursday, October 19th will be a full day of school. We are making up time for Hurricane Irma.

Meet Juliette Jerome our West Broward High School intern this year. Ms. Jerome will be with us 2-3 days a week from 7:30-10:15. She has enjoyed working in our class the past few visits and looks forward to a fun year with many experiences. Her favorite color is blue and her hobbies include: sailing her personal watercraft, the beach, cheer leading, cooking, crafting, and decorating. She loves the holidays and collects Disney character pins. Please help me welcome her to our class!

Keep saving and bringing in your Box Tops. Thank you to those of you who have filled up a paper or two and sent them back in!

I hope that everyone is doing well, has power/water and was able to be safe during hurricane Irma. My house and neighborhood only had tree damage. We were very fortunate! As we return to school on Monday, please note the following things:

We will continue with the same spelling words. Since our last week was a short week and the upcoming week is short as well...we will have our first spelling test on Friday. Continue working on your tic tac toe week 1 and return it on Friday with all written work attached. Continue writing a book title/computer time or other reading activities in your planner nightly.

Our special for Monday is Art.

Thursday is a holiday and no school.

**New pictures have been posted in the photos section...check them out**

Thank you to everyone who was able to join me on Wednesday night for our Open House. It was great seeing all of you again and being able to share all about our class and the upcoming events and routines. Remember to fill out the online volunteer form if you would like to be an active part of our class!

What a great first week! We had fun learning about the class and school rules. We put what we learned into action and already have 17 compliments on our compliment chart for being caught doing a good job in the hallway and at special. We started chapter 1 in math- addition with numbers to 20. Students should be able to count, write add and subtract with numbers to 20. Next week we will learn about Daily five during our reading time and start using our book baskets.

Hope to see you all on Wednesday night at 6pm in the cafeteria. Teachers will be introduced to parents and then parents will go to the classroom to learn about many things for the upcoming school year.
