Anthony has written a letter introducing himself to you all...look for that in next weeks hw folder.

Thank you all for such a wonderful turn out for Open House. I am so happy to be able to have seen you all again and spend a little bit of time discussing our schedule, curriculum and other important information.

Mark your calendars for Open House on Wednesday, August 29th at 6pm. This is a night for parents only please. We will start in the cafeteria with staff introductions followed by breakout sessions in your child/children's classroom(s). This is a night to discuss curriculum, behavior, volunteering, field trips and events, etc. See you then!

Today I sent home the directions for downloading the Bloomz app so that you can receive text messages from me. I will send field trip and special event reminders to the class or even individual texts to parents when needed. Another great way to get information and keep in touch from classroom to home!

What an awesome first day! We had a full day of activities and fun. Today we met some new friends, did calendar math and practiced writing our numbers to 100. We did a self portrait and practiced our color words with a color code worksheet.

The fun began when we read "First Day Jitters" about being nervous on the first day of a new school year. The book had a funny ending...ask your child who was afraid to go to school. (he he he) After our story we tasted jitter juice (lime Koolaide and sprite) and we not only enjoyed it, but we weren't nervous anymore.

What a super Meet & Greet today! I enjoyed meeting all of you- even if it was only for a short time. I am looking forward to working with all of you this year. Please check out all of the information on our class website. I update often and add pictures of the kids in action...so come back often!
