What is a deaf-parented interpreter (DPI)?
An interpreter or interpreting student who has at least one or more Deaf, Deafdisabled, DeafBlind, deaf, and/or hard-of-hearing parents. DPI can be Deaf of Deaf or Coda.
I applied before however was not selected for the LNS, can I apply again?
Yes. Feel free to apply again.
How is the scholarship distributed, am I reimbursed or does DPI pay CASLI directly?
DPI will pay CASLI directly for your exam.
How many scholarships are awarded annually?
We will select 2 to 3 winners based on the availability of funds
How do I make my videos viewable to the review committee?
You may upload your video to YouTube or other cloud-based services, as long as you can add an public URL (i.e., viewable by anyone with the link) in the space provided below. The best way to send your content is to share it with us using a file transfer service, like DropBox, Google Drive, or YouTube. Linked guidance below:
