Laura Razzolini is Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics, Finance and Legal Studies at the University of Alabama. Her research interests are in behavioral and experimental economics, gender studies, altruism, fundraising and cost sharing mechanisms, traffic congestions and terrorism. Her work has been funded by the National Science Foundation. Her research has been published in the Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Public Economics, Economic Theory, Public Choice, and Experimental Economics. For 16 years she served as Editor in chief of the Southern Economic Journal. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Economic Science Association.
Laura earned a Laurea (Baccalaureate) from the University of Florence in Italy; a research Doctorate from the University of Bologna in Italy; a MA and a PhD in economics from Southern Methodist University. Before joining UA, Laura was at Virginia Commonwealth University for 13 years and before then at the University of Mississippi for 10 years. She was Program Director at NSF from 2001 to 2003.
