I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics of the University of Barcelona (UB) and a researcher at the Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB).
Before that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of International Economic Policy at the University of Göttingen.
My research focuses on Political Economy, Gender Economics, Development Economics, and Applied Microeconometrics.
November 2025: Our paper on job loss and political entry received the BeNA Innovative Research Award from the Berlin Network of Labor Market Research.
June 2025: Awarded the 1st Prize for Excellence in Applied Development Research by the German Economic Association and KfW Development Bank for my dissertation.
May 2025: Received the Florence Sartorius Dissertation Prize for the best dissertation in economics in 2024, awarded by the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Göttingen.
