IPS & IAS Eligibility
To unwind an IPS Officer, you must meet the following eligibility standards specified by the UPSC and clear the IPS latest exam, the Civil Services Examination:
Nationality: You must be an Indian resident.
Age Limit: You must be at least 21 years old and under the ultimate age limit, which varies depending on your type and whether you own a standard physical disability.
Minimum Educational Capability: You must own a university grade (graduate degree) from an identified university.
Number of Attempts: You can bear the IPS latest exam up to 6 times if you are in the general or EWS type, 9 shots if you belong to the OBC Category and an endless number of shots if you belong to the SC/ST Category.
Limitation on Applying: If you have already been appointed as an IAS or IFS officer, you are not qualified to use for the IAS latest exam.
Biological Standards: You must complete the biological criteria determined in the Regulations for Examination.

The civil services exam has two parts:
Preliminary exam: it is an accurate type of exam to select candidates for the next stage.
Main exam: it has written examinations and interviews to choose candidates for various posts.
IPS and IAS Exam Pattern
The IPS & IAS Exam 2024 is accomplished in three stages:
UPSC Preliminary Exam: It is an objective-based exam held in two parts- General Studies Paper-I and General Studies Paper-II (CSAT). GS Paper-I is counted for merit and the CSAT Paper is preparing in nature. Once you prepare the UPSC Prelims Cut-Off, you are eligible to see for the UPSC Main Examination Stage.
UPSC Main Examination: This Exam is Defining in nature. There are 9 papers in total.
Interview: If you do agreeably in the Main Examination, you'll be called for an interview. This is a possibility for the examiners to comprehend your character and appropriateness for a police officer role.
