When is the event?
The Open Mic is a Monthly event every last Thursday 9:00 PM to 12:00AM, with physical signups starting at 8:30PM.How do I sign up? 10 Adv Sign Ups get a reserved spot, but everyone must sign up in person to secure a time slot. In-person sign-ups (10+) open at 8:30 PM, first come, first served.
How long are set times? Each performer may perform up to two songs, with a maximum of 3 minutes and 30 seconds per song. Total set time of 8mins. Dancers, DJ's or others: 4mins.
Can hip hop dancers perform? Yes! Hip hop dancers are welcome to sign up and will have a 4-minute set time.
Can DJ's sign up? Yes! DJs are welcome to sign up and will have a 4-minute set time.
How do I Send my Music? Fill out the online Music Upload form to submit your tracks (Linktr.ee/LateLyrics).
Can I Sign Up If I’m Under 21?
No, this event Is 21+
What time do special guests go on stage?
They take the stage at 10:00 PMAre there time slots when signing up? Yes! you will have the below options when signing up online or In person:
Kick Off: 9:05–10:00 PM
Prime Time: 10:30–11:00 PM
Nexxt Up: 11:00–11:30 PM
Late Lyrics: 11:30–12:00 AM
All Sign Ups after 11:45PM are subject to 1 song only due to time constraints
Can I perform more than once? No, each performer is limited to one performance per event.

What genres of music are allowed?
Hip-hop and Rap preferred, However, R&B, Soul, and Funk are also welcome. (If bringing another genre, you may be denied to perform at the mic)Do i need a show mix for my performance?
Yes, a performance (show) mix is preferred. Please perform with your show mix if possible.Can I perform original songs or covers?
Yes, you can perform original songs or covers—your choice! But be original its an open mic!Are there any restrictions on lyrics or content?
No, there are no restrictions on lyrics or content.Do I need to bring my own equipment or instruments?
No, we provide all necessary equipment, including an amp, 2 microphones and an event DJ. Open mic performers cannot use their own DJ for the event (Special guests can bring their own DJ).Will there be a soundcheck or rehearsal time?
No, there is no soundcheck for open mic performers or special guests. (We Soundcheck everything before the event begins).

What is the venue name and address?
The event takes place at White Owl Social Club, located at 1305 SE 8th Ave, Portland, OR.Is the venue/event open to all ages?
No, the venue is 21+Is there a cover charge or entry fee?
Yes, tickets are $5 presale w/ Promo Code (ask a special guest), $10 pre-sale and $12 at the door.Are food and drinks available at the venue?
Yes, the venue offers a full restaurant menu. There will also be special drink and menu items created just for the event. here Is there current Food and Drink Menu.Are alcoholic beverages sold? Yes, the venue has a full bar.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible. You will need to contact someone at door/bar to open side door of venue to assist with entering.What’s the parking situation?
The venue has free street parking, surrounding the venue and available nearby.

Will my performance be recorded?
NoCan I sell merch at the event?
Yes, However, you cannot use our tables to sell or promote your merch. Our table space is reserved for our vendors, sponsors, and special guests. If you would like to showcase your merch check our our Vendor ApplicationWill there be opportunities to network with other performers?
Absolutely! This is a community event featuring members of the hip-hop community, including rappers, singers, hosts, DJs, dancers, graphic designers, videographers, photographers, promoters, and more! It's a great place to network and make connections.Can I invite friends or family to watch?
Yes, friends and family are welcome to attend, but they will need to purchase a ticket to the event as well.

What happens if I’m late to my performance slot?
If you’ve been selected as one of the Top Adv sign-ups and know you’ll be late, please email us as soon as possible: latelyricspdx@gmail.com with the subject line: LATE - [Stage Name] - [Event Date].If you need to cancel your performance after signing up on the physical sign-up sheet, please email us at latelyricspdx@gmail.com with the subject line: CANCEL - [Stage Name] - [Event Date].
