Our project is an emergency response robot that is operated remotely by a user through a server. For the rest of this report, the robot as a whole will be referred to as LASSIE. LASSIE has the capabilities to move in various directions, take pictures, detect the surrounding temperature, detect how far away she is from an object, and play previously saved sound files. The server has multiple buttons and slides that the user can manipulate to tell LASSIE to move a certain amount forward or backward, turn a certain amount left or right, detect the temperature, take a picture, tell how far an object is, or play a specific sound file.
