"Faith Healer"

I am a proud member of The Free Readers Ensemble in Oak Park. This group has been presenting play readings since 1993, and we're still going strong.

We hope you'll join us for our next reading, "Faith Healer" on Sunday, January 18 at 3:00pm. Considered Brian Friel's masterpiece, this play is presented as a series of monologues by the three characters - Frank Hardy (the Faith Healer), Grace Hardy (Frank's wife, or mistress) and Teddy (Frank's manager) As they recount the life of the Faith Healer, and tell about a pivotal moment that changed their lives forever, we realize that not everyone sees the past in the same way.

I'll be playing Teddy, the Faith Healer's cockney manager, and he's quite a character! Though his recollection starts lightheartedly, as he digs deeper in, we start to get more of the truth, and the effect it had on everyone.
