Syncing between mobile and desktop editions of Chrome is helpful, giving you the option to access passwords you've stored in Chrome (provided you don't use one of the best password managers, that is). As the dominant browser on the market, Chrome is also the most reliable option, as every web developer considers Google's browser when building a website.

Opera stands out from the rest of the best Android browsers with a data-saver mode that compresses videos as well as standard web pages. As a result, pages load faster thanks to the reduced data, and if you don't have one of the best unlimited data plans, you won't burn through your monthly data allotment as quickly.

Opera also offers a built-in free VPN-like feature that gives you a virtual IP address, although notably, you can't use both the VPN feature and data-saver mode in tandem. Even with its many features, Opera was one of the fastest browsers that I tested, with only Chrome consistently outperforming it. One slight frustration with Opera is its convoluted interface: You may be distracted by the menus at both the top and bottom of the screen.

If you are the sort of person who wants to decide how the tabs display in your browser, what color everything should be and exactly which features you want accessible, then Firefox is for you. If that sounds like a nightmare, however, you should look elsewhere, as even a basic setup of Firefox warrants some tweaking.

DuckDuckGo doesn't offer any way to set up a DuckDuckGo account, so you won't be able to sync across devices but that's kind of the point of this privacy-minded service. However, it does now offer a desktop browser for those that want the same experience on both their phone and computer.

Microsoft has delivered a compelling Chromium-based browser in the second version of Edge. The Android version has undergone a snazzy revamp to match the desktop browser (although you can customize its look and feel), and it's a decent option that syncs up with your Microsoft account.

While it lacks extension support or more powerful ad-blocking features found in some of the other best Android browsers, Vivaldi offers a compelling feature set that I hope to see its developers continue to build upon.

Hi. @Rebecca_McGrath. From my point of view, it seems that not all functions in the PC browser are in the Android app. For work, I use Asana most of the time on an 10" or larger Android tab. It would be nice to be able to use Asana as a browser on the Galaxy Tab. Can I ask to check once?

I regret to inform you that I will NOT be using Brave browser as my default browser on android platform because it lacks back and forward buttons. The forward button I found is in the menu and not immediately accessible /clickable.

As far as Edge, the desktop version of Vivaldi takes the cake for now. Tiled tabs/pages, Web Panel buttons in the side panel, custom search engines etc. On android it will depend on memex & raindrop integration.

So Trevor at technical support for Bitwarden suggested that I disable and re-enable all of the auto-fill services in the Bitwarden app. To my astonishment, that fixed the problem. Auto-fill now works with all the browsers I have tried on my Huawei.

I am having the same trouble as OP @chyron8472: Bitwarden only working with Chrome browser on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S9+). I tried disabling then reenabling Auto-fill but that did not solve. Please share any other troubleshooting tips.

Got a big phone and normal sized thumbs? No problem. Firefox for Android lets you move the search bar from the top to the bottom making it easier to use with one hand. You can also choose your own search engine within the browser, and set Firefox as your default browser if you want.

After I upgraded to a samsung galaxy s21 ultra, 1password is no longer automatically selecting the autofill usernames and passwords for any website. I have to manually search for the username and password, at which point it will fill the username and password fields. It does not remember the username and password I selected the next time I go to log in to that website. I will have to manually search for it again.

This was previously working when using the android brave browser on my galaxy s9+.

Unfortunately, your recommended steps did not resolve my issue. The behavior when using the brave browser remained the same. I am still only offered two options for the 1Password login window that pops up. Either "Search 1Password" or "Create a new login".

If I am using the chrome browser, the 1Password icon shows up at the top of the Gboard keyboard. When I click on that, the 1Password window pops up showing the specific website I am using as an option. I click on that, and it fills the username and password fields.
