2016 - Hardscape Improvement Attempts
(Originally published in February 2016)

Dear fellow La Quinta Tennis Villa Homeowners,
As I write this note, we have just completed our town hall meeting regarding our Hardscape Replacement project. I thought it was an extremely informative meeting for homeowners, and if you attended I hope that it was able to answer any concerns or questions that you may have had. I know there has been a lot of chatter prior to today about potential issues, but I really do hope these issues were specifically addresses, explained and alleviated. If you have any specific issues still to discuss, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
As I mentioned at the town hall meeting:
The board has spent over two years preparing for this vote and to be ready to start the hardscape project. If you count the years that members of this Board have spent on previous hardscape work, there is in fact over 10 years spent by the current board to get to this point, dating back to 2004.
We hired the top project manager in the Coachella Valley to advise and guide us along the process.
We engaged a top engineering firm to assess potential risks during construction, to have the lowest possible risk of cost over-runs.
We have gathered multiple competitive bids for all work to be completed.
We have gone on dozens of site visits around Coachella Valley with our project manager to see hardscape options, to make sure we are getting the best solution for our HOA, at the best price.
As your elected representatives to maintain the HOA, we considered all pavement options available in detail, and discussed them at multiple HOA meetings that were open to all homeowners. We posted minutes of all HOA meetings to this web site and set up this custom web page for further information on the project. We encouraged HOA feedback along the entire process, and kept an open mind.
We have selected the finest vendors in the Valley, including Farley Pavers which is considered to be one of, if not the top Paver company in the Unites States.
We put a plan in place that will finish this project by October 1, 2016, on time, and on budget!
I hope that I have been able to convey to you what an amazing improvement this project will be to the HOA. As you may be able to tell, I am deeply passionate about our HOA. I want to continue the tradition of having our HOA match the elegance and grandeur that has been part of the La Quinta Resort for over 90 years.
I appreciate the interest you have shown in keeping our community a vibrant and healthy environment. I truly thank you for your consideration to vote “Yes” on this proposal.
Best Regards,
Ryan
La Quinta Tennis Villa Board Member Since 2009
