Brewers Infotech ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Translate: Language Translator mobile application (the "App") available on Google Play. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. 2.1 Camera & Photos
Our App requests access to your device's camera and photo library solely to enable the following features:
Camera translation — point your camera at text to translate it in real time
Photo translation — select an image from your gallery to extract and translate text
We do not store, upload, or share your camera feed or images on any server. All image processing for translation occurs on-device or via a secure third-party translation API, and the image data is discarded immediately after translation is complete.
2.2 Automatically Collected Data
When you use the App, we may automatically collect limited technical information, including:
Device type, operating system version, and app version
Crash logs and performance diagnostics (used solely to fix bugs)
General usage analytics (e.g., which features are used most)
This data is collected in aggregate and anonymised form. It cannot be used to personally identify you.
2.3 Data You Provide
If you contact us for support, we may collect your name and email address for the purpose of responding to your query. This information is not used for marketing.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
To provide and operate the translation features of the App
To improve app performance and fix technical issues

To comply with applicable laws and regulations

4. Third-Party Services

Camera images and photos are never permanently stored or transmitted to our servers.
Translation queries may pass through secure HTTPS connections to third-party APIs.
Crash logs and analytics data are stored in anonymised form.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL).
However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy:
Camera and image data: Not retained — processed in real-time and immediately discarded.
Analytics and crash data: Retained for up to 12 months in anonymised form.
Support emails: Retained for up to 24 months or until your request is resolved, whichever comes first.

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. 9. App Permissions
The following Android permissions are used by this App:
CAMERA — Required to enable real-time camera translation of text.
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — Required to allow translation of images selected from your gallery.
You can revoke these permissions at any time via your device's Settings > Apps > Translate: Language Translator > Permissions. Revoking camera or storage permissions will disable the respective features but will not affect core text translation functionality.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the Effective Date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, by posting a notice within the App. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
