The Lab of Language Acquisition explores the interaction between language development and cognitive development and how different components of language (such as syntax, semantics, phonology and pragmatics) disassociate and interact.  


The theoretical aim of our studies is to characterize and understand atypical language acquisition among a diverse populations, including children with Specific Language Impairment (SLI) / Developmental language Disorder (DLD), children with autism, children with hearing impairment and deaf children who use sign language.


In addition, our research contribute to the development of the diagnosis tools and intervention programs for children who experience various linguistic difficulties.
