Spanish I introduces students to the Spanish language, and to the culture of Spanish speaking countries. Learning a foreign language requires a basic understanding of English grammar. As such, students will learn basic grammatical concepts, and transfer them to learning Spanish. With Spanish I, students can understand basic words, phrases, and expressions. They can talk about their families, interests, and navigate basic conversations. This class opens the door to the world, and invites students to have fun, learn something challenging and new, and begin to reach out to other cultures.
