The La Loma Native Garden was created in 2017 as a partnership between the La Loma Neighborhood and the City of Modesto.
La Loma Native Garden occupies approximately two acres. It was once an old irrigation canal that was filled in. The garden showcases wildflowers, shrubs, trees, and succulents.. It borders Encina Avenue in Modesto, CA
A native garden is a landscape utilizing plants adapted to the local climate and soil conditions where they occur naturally.

The La Loma Native Garden has special sections: Pollinator mounds, wildflower patch, bird habitat, groundcover mound, succulent rock gardens, desert area, grass patches, wildflower and grass meadow, drybeds, meditation circle, and blue and white flower areas.
