This project explores how land use changes have affected water quality in Lake Sunapee, New Hampshire, focusing on pH, total phosphorus (TP), and turbidity from 1986 to 2023. Using data from 25 water quality stations, I’ll analyze trends over time and create interpolation maps to compare the various water quality indicators to land use changes. The goal is to see how human activities, such as residential development, have impacted the lake’s health. The results will include maps and statistical analysis to identify vulnerable areas of the lake and offer insights into protecting water quality.
