Seniors

Did you know that as a senior driver over the age of 70, if you are involved in a collision, your license can be downgraded by the Ministry of Transportation?

You would then need to take the road tests again to regain your full license.

Don’t let this happen to you or someone you love.

At Lake Simcoe School of Motoring, we acknowledge that senior drivers are one of the largest growing segment of the driving population.

The share of seniors 65 years and over among the Canadian population was 14.8% in 2011, up from 13.7% in 2006. However, the proportion of seniors in Canada remained among the lowest of the G8 countries.

In Ontario, 14.6% of the population was aged 65 and older in 2011.

We at Lake Simcoe School of Motoring would like to help our older drivers remain collision free on our roads. We know that sometimes things do happen beyond our control, but why not brush up on some of your defensive driving skills with one of our highly trained instructors?
