How to use the spreadsheets ?
Below you will find a tutorial on the following items:
THE HOME PAGE + USING TABS / PAGES
USING THE SEARCH TAB
THE HOME PAGE
Opening a spreadsheet will take you to its "Home" page. Often you will find things like:
Last Updated (on the left)
Recent Updates (on the left)
Links out (on the right)
And other information (in the middle)
You can see this information in the image below.
USING TABS / PAGES
At the bottom of the spreadsheet you can go to other pages in the spreadsheet by clicking the TAB (or page) you need !
In the image below you can see the different TABS or pages:
Home
Search
Kin List [A-Z]
Forum Codes
etc...
You can also scroll through the TABS with the arrows ◄► at the bottom right of the spreadsheet. This can help you get to TABS that are otherwise not seen.
The "Search" page is a very handy tool to quickly find what you are looking for ! How does it work ?
There are 2 types of Search Tools but they both work the same way:
BASIC SEARCH TOOL
ADVANCED SEARCH TOOL
BASIC SEARCH TOOL
The Basic Search Tool is a simple search tool like Google. Just type in what you are looking for, press ENTER and the results will show up.
IMPORTANT
Spelling is important ! You must write the item you are searching for correctly or the search will not find it !
Example: "Andrios" will be found by the search but "Andrioos" will not !
You can also type in a part of the name.
Example: "Andr" will find everything that has the part "andr" in it → here: "Andrios" is found
The search is not case-sensitive: CAPITAL LETTERS or small letters don't matter, the search will find it !
You can see all this in the image below.
ADVANCED SEARCH TOOL
The Advanced Search Tool is the same as the BASIC but you also have to select which DATABASE to search in.
To use the Advanced Search Tool:
click the ▼ in "Choose Database to Search" and choose your Database to search in.
type in what you want to search.
EXAMPLE
In the images below I chose to search in the Database "Sycamorte Tree Killers" and typed in "ember" as the word to search.
