A guide for beginners based upon Camp Kindred - Guide for Beginners by Iistless !
At the start of battle, you must choose a Kin from your Battle Party to use in battle
If the Kin you want to use is not in your Battle Party, finish the Battle (or Flee), then go to My Kins to add the Kin to your Battle Party (see My Kins Menu)
The Kin with the highest level always goes first.
If your Kin and the enemy have the same level, you will go first.
If the enemy has a higher level than your Kin, the enemy goes first.
A Wild Kin has appeared !
Choose a Kin from your Battle Party to fight !
A Kin that is Sleeping to regain Stamina cannot be used in Battle ! (my Lv. 4 Echo cannot fight)
It doesn't look good for me, I only have low level Kins with me... oops !

Attack (or Basic Attack)
Available from Kin level 1
Deals a basic amount of damage
No cost to use
Magic (or Magic Skills or Magic Attack)
Available from Kin level 2
Deals more damage than a Basic Attack
Costs 2 Magic Points to use
Skills (or Special Skills)
These are special attacks that unlock at different Kin levels
These attacks can have a chance of a special effect, such as status effects (paralyze, sleep, etc...) or healing effects (healing life points or removing status effects)
Each Kin has their own set of Skills
Each Skill has its own damage range
Skills usually deal more damage than a Magic Attack
Each Skill has a certain amount of Magic Point cost to use
Items (or Consumable Items)
Brings up a menu with items you can use in battle
Some potions help your Kin (example: Mega Heal potion)
Some potions damage the enemy (example: Singe potion)
You can use 1 item per turn BEFORE your attack !
(after your Kin attacks your turn ends and you cannot use items anymore)
Flee (or Run Away)
Run away from battle (you don't lose Stamina)
There is a chance fleeing will fail
If you fail to flee, you lose your turn and the enemy's turn starts
Your Kin that defeated the enemy gains experience equal to the level of the enemy you defeated
Your account (Trainer Level) gains experience equal to the level of the enemy you defeated
You get a Battle Reward (money, item, etc...)
Example:
You win against a level 4 Wild Kin.
Your Kin that won the battle gets + 4 experience
Your Trainer Level (Skill Points) gets + 4 experience
You will be offered to buy a Resurrection Potion for 1 billion gold (DO NOT DO THIS, it is never worth it, just exit the battle)
Your Kin that died loses 15% of its max Stamina (rounded up)
As long as your Kin has 1 Stamina, you can use it again in the next battle. Your Kin will have full health again at the start of the next battle.
You can use a Kin in battle as much as you want as long as your Kin has Stamina available
Your Kin has full health each time a new battle starts
When a Kin in your Battle Party has 0 Stamina, you can go back to the My Kins Menu, remove it from your Battle Party and add a different Kin to your Battle Party instead
If a Kin has 0 Stamina, don't forget to go to the My Kins Menu and put the Kin to Sleep so it regains Stamina over time !
(See My Kins Menu)
