Luck Area Historical Museum

On behalf of the Luck Area Historical Society & Museum (LAHS), Welcome!

The Museum is a place for the community to enjoy regular programs, events and exhibits.

We feature a monthly classic film on the first Friday  May-October at 7:00PM and November-April at 1:00 PM - This is known as our First Friday Flick!

Our presenter program has been popular and topics range from animals in our rural Wisconsin neighborhood to authors in our midst.

The events we have vary. But you can be certain that every July on the Saturday of Lucky Days ( the third weekend) we will be serving aebleskiver and medisterpoelse with locally made maple syrup.

In June we celebrate Dairy Month, with a FREE ice cream from Consumer Cooperative -Cenex station in Luck, across from Wood Goods. Get your coupon from us and get a free ice cream from them. On your way stop at the Hanne Ravnholt Dairy Pavilion.  She was the first butter maker to join the first Wisconsin Co-operative Dairy ( the first in the nation in 1885.)

Our temporary exhibits vary. But you can be sure that every July we have something special from the Museum of Danish America in Elk Horn, Iowa. We try to always make your visit a learning experience.

Our collections are rooted in Luck or from someone who came to live here, making it part of local history.

Funding: Membership in the Luck Area Historical Society supports and helps maintain and develop current and future exhibits and ongoing programs and events. It is encouraged to help in preserving our local history.  The museum and historical society are volunteer organizations and depend on donations, fundraising and grants to continue with our mission, no tax monies are used.
