Youth in the Bay Area have a hard time connecting to & finding opportunities to engage in environmental advocacy.
Our team contacted schools around the Bay Area and presented curriculum involving local problems and initiatives that students could better relate to.
In collaboration with Gunn Green Team, the ClimatEdu project group researched and created curriculum customized for students of the Bay Area, focusing on a general introduction to climate change, climate justice, and local case studies. We contacted local schools, including Bullis Charter School and Santa Rita Elementary, and were able to organize Zooms to teach our curriculum to eager students!
