FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
The purpose of the meeting is to bring together researchers and students from Latin America and around the world who are engaged in Applied Mathematics and its industrial applications. Our aim is to create a platform for discussing recent advancements in the field and to promote new collaborations among the participating research groups.
The conference includes plenary talks, minicourses, thematic sessions, poster sessions, and panel discussions. We encourage the participation of Latin American students via accomodation and/or travel support.

Important information
Call for thematic sessions
LACIAM 2026 is now open to receive proposals for thematic sessions. Proposals should include:
1) a descriptive title;
2) the abstract of the session (less than 600 words, preferably without equations);
3) the name, affiliation, and email of the organizer(s);
4) the name and affiliation of potential speakers.
The organization of sessions connecting both applied mathematics and industrial applications are highly encouraged. The abstract should clearly describe the topic of the session and is meant to attract both audience members and speakers of industrial and applied mathematics.
Thematic session proposals can be submitted through the online form until June 1st, 2025. Preferably, the number of potential speakers should be a multiple of 3. Sessions will be divided into time slots of 90 minutes. Each time slot will consist of up 3 talks of 25 minutes with additional 5 minutes for questions.
Proposals are subject to approval of the LACIAM 2026 Scientific Committee.
