You’re never too old to straighten your smile, and with Invisalign® treatment, you can do it in secret! This clear, removable treatment is extra convenient, and perfect for parents and client-facing professionals alike.
Invisalign® treatment uses a series of clear plastic trays called aligners to straighten your teeth without the need for metal brackets or wires. These discrete aligners are custom made for your exact smile, and you can conveniently remove them for meals and important events.
If Dr. Lach determines that Invisalign® treatment is the best fit for you, he can use our sophisticated 3D scanner to make and accurate digital model of your smile during your free consultation. This model will be used to design your custom aligners and treatment plan.
Each set of aligners is shaped a little differently. When you switch to a new set of aligners every two weeks as instructed by Dr. Lach, it will apply new pressure on your teeth to slowly guide them into proper alignment.
For best results, you will need to wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day, and for as long as Dr. Lach prescribes.
Caring for your Invisalign® aligners is simple. Take them out before mealtimes and your regular brushing and flossing routine. It’s recommended to rinse both your mouth and your aligners before you put them back in to elimite any gathered bacteria.
When not in use, it’s recommended that you store your aligners in their case to keep them clean and safe. Additionally, you should clean your aligners at least once a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and a gentle formula toothpaste to remove any lingering germs.
If you are looking for the ultimately discreet treatment with braces, InBrace might be right for you. The brackets of InBrace are fixed to the back side of your teeth, hiding them completely from view when you smile.

Self-tightening braces
Self-ligating braces don’t require ligatures to straighten your smile. For this reason, we sometimes refer to them as “ligatureless braces.” The brackets of self-ligating braces have a special metal clip that allows the archwire to provide light continuous forces on the teeth during treatment.

Before becoming an orthodontist Dr. Lach started out in dental school and earned a DDS (dental degree), just like other dentists. After dental school, however, Dr. Lach decided he wanted to learn more about orthodontics, which is one of nine specialties within the dental field. So he stayed in school for a few more years and became an expert in orthodontics; which focuses on tooth and jaw alignment and bite problems like overbites and underbites. Visiting a dentist on a regular schedule for cleanings, fillings, and general oral health checkups is very important. However, it is equally important that you have your child screened by an orthodontist by the age of 7 to ensure you’re his or her jaw has the room to accommodate their incoming teeth and that everything is coming along smoothly. The AAO believes that, “putting off a check-up with an orthodontist until a child has lost all baby teeth could be a disservice. Some orthodontic problems may be easier to correct if they are found early. A check-up no later than age 7 gives your orthodontist the opportunity to recommend the appropriate treatment at the appropriate time.” Our office offers a complimentary first visit because we understand the importance of early detection.
Traditional braces are made from metal brackets that have wires and are adhered to a person’s teeth. Advancements have been made in traditional braces to make them less obvious and less invasive. They have smaller brackets, and some have wires that are activated by a person’s body heat, thereby reducing the pain associated with their application.
Ceramic braces were the first option in “clear braces” on the market. They have the same shape and the same size as traditional metal braces, but since they are made from ceramic, they have a color that matches the wearer’s teeth. So they do not stand out as much. Patients have the option of using clear wires to further reduce the appearance of wearing braces.
The pros of ceramic braces include:
• Not as visually evident as metal braces
• Produce faster results than plastic aligners
• Not as irritating to the gums and mouth as metal braces

• Ceramic brackets can easily stain
• Require excessive maintenance to keep their “clear” appearance
Invisalign® is quickly becoming the most popular teeth straightening treatment on the market. It is composed of 18 to 30 clear plastic aligners that are custom-made to fit a patient’s teeth. The aligners have an appearance that resembles a mouth guard. Twice a month, a patient may need to have the aligners removed and replaced as their teeth straighten.
Orthodontists typically apply braces to children who have lost most of their primary or baby teeth and who have most of their permanent or secondary teeth.
