Research overview

In the SECRET lab at Chungnam National University, we explore various ways to harden system and software security. We try to build practical system security solutions by using commercial security features such as ARM TrustZone and Intel SGX. Besides, we focus on how to transform general hardware and software features (e.g., virtualization and debug facilities) into useful security measures. The compiler-based software hardening technique (e.g., using LLVM) is also part of our research area.

Currently, we build our solutions in the context of mobile and IoT devices. We will further extend our research area to protect more critical systems such as vehicles and health care devices.
