How to Use the Drawing Tool Program

This guide will walk you through using the drawing tool step by step. Follow along to learn how to create shapes, draw, and add text to your canvas.

Step 1: Open the Drawing Tool

Once you load the page, you'll see a blank canvas and a toolbar with various options.

Step 2: Pick a Color

1. Look for the color picker icon.

2. Click the color box to open a color palette. Select your desired drawing color.

Step 3: Choose a Shape

1. Find the shape dropdown menu.

2. Select from:

   • Free Draw

   • Rectangle

   • Circle

Step 4: Fill or Outline Your Shape

1. Locate the Fill/Outline menu.

2. Choose either:

   • Fill: Shapes will be solid.

   • Outline: Shapes will have just an outline.

Step 5: Start Drawing

1. Click and drag on the canvas to draw.

   • If you're using Free Draw, keep dragging to draw lines.

   • For shapes, click and drag to size the shape.

Step 6: Use the Eraser Tool

1. Click the eraser button to remove parts of your drawing.

Step 7: Add Text

1. Click the text tool button.

2. Click on the canvas where you want to add text.

3. Type in the box that appears, then press Enter to save.

Step 8: Undo and Redo

• Undo Button: Removes your last action.

• Redo Button: Restores the last undone action.

Step 9: Clear the Canvas

• Clear Button: Removes everything from the canvas.
