What is Text Formatting?
"Text Formatting" means changing how text (typed words) looks to make it easier to read or more organized. For example, you can make words bold, italic, or change their size and color. You can also line up text neatly, add spaces, or create lists. Formatting helps make text clear and nice to look at. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see examples.
Examples
Below are two examples of text formatting. The example on the left shows very little text formatting. The example on the right has a lot of text formatting. Can you spot the differences?
