The United Nations Children’s Fund is a group of UN member states focused on protecting children’s rights and their futures by advocating for their health, education, and basic human rights. In this committee, delegates will debate the global discussion surrounding child marriage. Depending on the country's policy and past initiatives, delegates must work collaboratively to establish creative and feasible solutions to this topic.
Dear Delegates,
Hi, I'm Cecily Bensmaia! I'm currently a sophomore, and it is my second year doing MUN. I started last year as a way to bond with one of my friends, and even though we didn't end up doing it together, I've had so many great experiences throughout my time doing MUN. Outside of MUN, I play soccer both for my school and a travel team, I love spending time with my friends and family, and I enjoy crocheting. I'm so excited to be chairing UNICEF this LABMUNC, and I'm really hoping to see a lot of collaboration and ideas from lots of different perspectives.
Best,
Cecily Bensmaia
